Why do I serve and want to run for mayor? Because I care. Service is in my DNA and problem solving is what I do. Together, these traits have molded my life’s ambition to help serve people, my community, and country.

My experiences as a family doctor, a medical school faculty member, a Major in the United States Air Force, and the numerous positions I’ve held as a public servant have all helped me to better serve.

 

A native Nevadan, since moving to Boulder City 40 years

ago, I have been elected as a City Councilman, State Assemblyman, and State Senator. I have chaired

and/or served on multiple non-profit organizations' boards

of directors. I have nurtured positive bipartisan relationships

with good people across the State of Nevada, of all faiths.

 

As a public servant, my ability and ambition to foster good relationships has been crucial in facilitating productive communication and pragmatic problem solving. My desire to remain a public servant is as strong as ever, but I am term limited in the State Senate.

So while my term as State Senator is coming to an end, my wish to continue to serve you, my friends and neighbors of Boulder City, is at a new beginning.

This is our home. My wife Jill (of 50 years) and I love the City of Boulder City. We love the teachers and schools. We have raised all our 8 children here, all graduating from Boulder City High School. Now watching our children raise our

grandchildren here, we continue to care about our community.

With my many years of experience in business, the medical field, military, and public service, I look forward to listening, learning, and serving my fellow citizens. I know that Boulder City is a unique and delightful place to live and to know your neighbor. Nowhere have I seen a better place to live.
